Llama Monkey ("we", "us", or "our") operates SnapMonkey ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in via a third-party provider (Google, Microsoft), we receive your name and email from that provider.

Cloud Service Tokens

When you connect a cloud storage provider (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox), we store OAuth tokens that allow us to upload files to your designated folders. These tokens grant limited access only to the specific actions required by the Service.

Transfer Data

We log metadata about file transfers, including file names, file sizes, file types, timestamps, transfer status, and the source device. This data is used to provide your transfer history and for service operation.

File Content

Photos and videos pass through our servers during the transfer process. Files are forwarded to your cloud destination and are not retained on our servers after successful delivery. We do not access, analyze, or share the content of your files.

Usage and Log Data

We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for security, troubleshooting, and improving the Service.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive only the information necessary to manage your subscription (plan type, billing status).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process file transfers from your camera to your cloud destinations
  • Manage your account, subscriptions, and billing
  • Send service-related notifications (transfer alerts, account updates)
  • Monitor and improve service performance and reliability
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Cloud storage providers: We transmit your files to the cloud services you connect (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox) using the access you authorize.
  • Payment processor: Stripe processes your payment information under their own privacy policy.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

5. Data Retention

Files: Photos and videos are not retained after successful transfer to your cloud destination.

Transfer history: Transfer metadata is retained according to your plan tier (7 days for Free, 90 days for Pro, unlimited for Premium).

Account data: We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), secure OAuth2 authentication for cloud providers, unique FTP credentials per user, and encrypted storage of sensitive tokens.

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
  • Object to certain processing of your data

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 16, we will delete that information promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

The Service is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
